This 3 3/4″ Ship’s Bell Barometer was originally sold in August of 1955 features a double bellows holosteric movement that mechanically measures changes in atmospheric pressure to foretell changing weather. Readings are handsomely displayed in inches and millibars on the piece’s rich, hand-silvered dial. The Ship’s Bell Barometer features a lacquered solid forged brass case with nickel finish and hinged bezel. Chelsea no longer sells this unique size barometer. The movement has been cleaned and recalibrated, the dial refinished, and the case re-nickeled to get into good as new condition. Serial #8/55
