Amateur weather enthusiasts and passionate sailors will have a foreshadowing of Mother Nature when they own the Ship’s Bell Barometer. Designed in the same style as our flagship brass ship’s clock that has aided mariners for over 120 years, this 4.5-inch brass barometer is the perfect companion in a home, office or captain’s quarters. By mechanically measuring atmospheric pressure changes, it will accurately forecast the weather for the next few hours so you can prepare.
Our Ship’s Bell brass sailboat barometer uses our signature double bellow holosteric movement that is handmade by master craftsmen. The hand-silvered dial displays the pressure readings in millibars and inches along with five zones: “Stormy”, “Rain”, “Change”, “Fair” and “Stormy”. So whether you want detailed barometric information or a general idea of what’s to come, this vintage-style brass will provide it. You can request the barometer be calibrated at the factory for altitudes of up to 5,000 feet above sea level; otherwise, the barometer is set for altitudes up to 2,000 feet. It’s also available in 6-inch and 8.5-inch sizes.
Each barometer has a durable forged brass case with a hand-lacquered finish and a screw bezel. We’ve added a hand-carved, mahogany-finished wood base so you can place the barometer on a mantel, desk or table. If you’re ordering this barometer as a gift, we offer world-class engraving services either directly on the barometer case or with a plate attached to the base. Add the Ship’s Bell clock for an elegant clock and barometer set covered by a five-year warranty.
